$149.99The Project Manager is responsible for overseeing construction projects from inception to completion, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and in compliance with all safety and legal standards. This role requires strong leadership, organizational skills, and the ability to effectively manage both people and resources.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Planning:
Coordinate with clients, architects, and engineers to develop detailed project plans, including timelines, budgets, and resources required.
Develop a comprehensive construction schedule, identifying key milestones, timelines, and critical deadlines.
Budget and Cost Management:
Create detailed project budgets and track expenditures.
Manage contracts with subcontractors and suppliers to ensure competitive pricing and timely deliveries.
Review and approve change orders and additional project costs.
Team Leadership:
Oversee and manage on-site construction teams, including subcontractors, laborers, and site supervisors.
Ensure that all workers are following safety protocols and company policies.
Communicate effectively with team members to ensure all parties are on the same page regarding project progress, challenges, and deadlines.
Quality Control and Compliance:
Ensure that all work complies with building codes, regulations, and quality standards.
Perform regular site inspections and walk-throughs to assess project progress and quality.
Ensure proper documentation of inspections, permits, and approvals.
Client and Stakeholder Communication:
Serve as the primary point of contact between the client and the construction team.
Provide clients with regular project updates, addressing any concerns or changes promptly.
Manage client expectations regarding timelines, budget constraints, and unforeseen challenges.
Problem Solving and Risk Management:
Address and resolve any issues or conflicts that arise on-site, including disputes between workers or delays in delivery.
Identify and mitigate risks to project timelines, safety, and quality.
Reporting and Documentation:
Maintain detailed records of project costs, contracts, and timelines.
Provide regular reports to senior management on project status, including any potential delays or budget overruns.
Qualifications:
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field (preferred).
Experience:
At least 5 years of experience in construction project management or a similar role in the construction industry.
Experience working on both residential and commercial construction projects is a plus.
Skills:
Strong leadership and team management skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Proficiency in project management software (e.g., Procore, Buildertrend, or similar).
Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize tasks.
Knowledge of building codes, safety regulations, and construction best practices.
Certifications (Optional but preferred):
PMP (Project Management Professional) Certification.
LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) Certification for sustainable construction projects.
Working Conditions:
Full-time position with the possibility of long hours during critical phases of the project.
Work will primarily be conducted on-site at various residential and commercial project locations.
Occasional travel may be required for off-site project oversight.
